John P. Konrad, has been a professional dealer since Nov. 1961 starting his Coin & Stamp business in Walla Walla, Wa. His business was moved to Seattle in 1965, and except for 5 years in business in New York City, has been in Seattle or the Seattle area since that time. Mr. Konrad has taught a class at the University of Washington as part of their continuing education program, on Investments in Numismatics. As an appraiser Mr. Konrad has done appraisals for individuals, city government, state government and the Federal government. He has also been used as an agent to dispose of rare coins & bullion coins for the Federal government. He is a life member of the ANA. His expertize is in U.S. Coinage, most World Coinage, Ancient Greek, Roman, Parthian, Indo Greek & Sassanian coinage. Also U.S. paper money, world paper money & all areas of U.S. and World postage stamps. Has bought & sold gold & silver bullion since spring of 1968 and is knowledgeable on the workings of these markets. Mr. Konrad has been a contributor of articles to Numismatic Publications & Coinage Magazine, has been used as an expert witness in court proceedings & been used as an expert on TV, as well as local Newspapers & radio.
