MGA Entertainment created Bratz dolls. The company premiered the dolls in 2001 with four dolls: Yasmin, Chloe, Jade, and Sasha. The dolls, after their inception, dominated the industry and attained great commercial success.

Bratz Rock Angelz dolls were created and named after characters from a movie and a game by the same title. The characters represent girls from diverse backgrounds in terms of ethnicities. Navel tattoos are an identifying feature of the Bratz Rock Angelz dolls.

~The body mold has click knees and underwear that could be painted pink or not. 

~The doll features brown hair color with light brown streaks. The eyes are green and have brown accents.

~The doll also comes with a gem on the belly button; a few have tattoos on the stomach.

The Sasha doll is of African-American descent. The doll’s clothes include a jacket with real or printed metal rings and laces. It also features a short black skirt. The head mold includes a closed mouth and pierced ears, while the body mold includes clicking knees and underwear painted pink or not. The doll also has a belly button gem, and a few dolls have tattoos. These are unique features of the Bratz Rock Angelz doll.

Cloe is a Bratz Rock Angelz doll of Caucasian origin. The Cloe doll comes in two box variants:

  • No hat and a small guitar
  • Hat and a more prominent guitar

The head mold features a closed mouth and pierced ears. The body mold has click knees and could either have painted or non-painted underwear. The doll has blue eyes with off-white inflections. The doll has blonde hair with black streaks. The doll features a belly button jewel as a unique feature. Additionally, some dolls come with a tattoo on the stomach.

~The Roxxi doll comes in tattooed and non-tattooed forms. Also, the head mold comprises a closed mouth and pierced ears. The hair is red and has black streaks.

~Roxxi gem on the belly button is a unique feature in Bratz Rock Angelz dolls. A few of the dolls also come with tattoos on the stomach.

~Roxxi’s Woolworth’s packaging exclusively comes with Yasmin’s second outfit and accessories. The ~Roxxi doll from Rock Angelz Concert Stage does not have any of Yasmin’s products.

The Meygan doll appears with a head mold, a closed mouth, and pierced ear. The doll has click knees and could feature painted (pink) or unpainted underwear.

The doll’s hair is red with streaks of dark red. It has brown eyes.

Why Were Bratz Dolls Discontinued?

The Bratz Dolls have been discontinued and relaunched severally in their lifespan. It was first suspended in 2010 due to litigation. It was relaunched later during the same year to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The brand underwent changes that saw the dolls get taller. 

They also designed a new logo, redefining its brand. The company relaunched its brand in 2015, with height readjustments on the dolls. The new dolls faced criticism and did not perform well in the market.

The poor reception was because the dolls only accommodated younger kids. They lacked consideration for teens and tweens like earlier dolls. The dolls were discontinued once again in 2016.

Hayden Williams began designing new dolls that would be released on Amazon exclusively. These dolls looked more like the original ones released in 2001. The dolls were released in 2021.

Are Bratz Dolls Still Made in 2023?

Bratz will continue to release dolls in 2023. Some of the dolls will be available on a preorder basis. The links provided might redirect you to Amazon listings.
