When this time of year hits, it’s extra important for me to stock up on wellness products for me and my family. Since I started teaching preschool this year, I want to take every precaution!
I’m going to share an easy sewing tutorial for a simple drawstring bag. I call this my “go bag” because I can toss in whatever I need to go from home to school and grab it on my way out of the house. You can make your own – it only requires simple, straight-line sewing!
What goes in my bag as the weather begins to change? I recently stopped at Kroger to stock up on some of my go-to products from Dial Complete®, Kleenex®, and Emergen-C®. Kroger is my convenient place to pick up essentials when I’m also on a grocery run. Because there are only so many hours in a day!
Table of Contents
Emergen-C®
Kroger has all the products I need to get ready for the season….including vitamins!
Emergen-C® contains a powerful blend of B Vitamins, Electrolytes and more Vitamin C than 10 oranges^! Each flavor also has 7 B Vitamins to enhance energy naturally, and electrolytes to replenish me, which I desperately need after running around with kids all day. *
I love the natural fruit flavors and fizzy texture of Emergen-C® Raspberry. These vitamin drink mixes come in convenient single packs (like the size of a tea bag) and they have no artificial sweeteners. Also no caffeine, which is important to me!
Dial Complete® Foaming Hand Wash
I always ask my preschool students to wash their hands before eating and after recess. Dial Complete® Foaming Hand Wash is so easy to use – for adults and kids! The bottle is simple to pump, and I love how it lathers immediately so you can quickly get in between fingers. The antibacterial formula kills 99.99% of bacteria encountered in household settings! The Spring Water aroma is really refreshing and clean, and I also love to stock up on the White Tea scent.
To stock up on some yourself, check out Kroger to save $1.50 on any TWO (2) Dial Complete® Foaming Hand Washes. Excludes trial & travel size. Begins 12/1/19 for limited time only.

The wipes are thick and soft enough to use every day and they are completely safe for children. Did you know you can use these on hands or even faces? Lined Drawstring “Go” Bag Tutorial
Note: I used Mary’s Easy Drawstring Tote tutorial and adapted the pattern to be a little larger!
Materials:
- 2 fabric fat quarters (18″ x 22″)
- 18″ length of ribbon
- sewing pins
- sewing machine
1. Place two fabric fat quarters (18″ x 22″) right sides together.
2. Sew around the perimeter, leaving a 3″ hole for turning.
3. Turn fabric right side out. Press the seams, pressing the fabric toward the inside of the opening.
4. Fold down the top edge about 1″, inserting an 18″ ribbon into that space. Pin the fold closed.
5. Stitch 1/8″ from the pinned edge to encase the ribbon.
6. Fold the bag in half so the ribbons are on top of each other and the side you see is the fabric you want on the inside of the bag. Stitch 1/4″ from the edge along the bottom and side, stopping 1/2″ before you get to the ribbon encasement.
7. Turn the bag right sides out, and fill with your favorite “on the go” essentials!
Don’t you love your new drawstring bag? The lining makes it nice and sturdy. Make a bunch and give them as gifts, or change up the size to suit your needs! Make a “go bag” of your own and stock up on all your wellness essentials from Kroger today!
